Jessica Stone
Jessica Stone is a native of Tampa, Florida. She is currently a senior at the University of South Florida and is majoring in Mass Communications with a focus in production. During the Spring 2009 semester, she worked as a segment producer of “For the Love of Music,” a 30 minute documentary about the local music scene in Tampa Bay. The program aired on WUSF-TV in June of 2009.
During the same semester Jessica was enrolled in Multimedia Journalism, a special multi-platform journalism course taught at Media General’s “News Center” in Tampa. As part of the class, Jessica worked directly with staff from The Tampa Tribune, WFLA-TV and Tampa Bay Online. Jessica helped research, write, produce, shoot and edit two newspaper, web and television stories that ran on all three platforms, including “Growth in Hookah Lounges,” and “Degrees of Difficulty.”
Jessica is very interested in the filmmaking business and after graduation she hopes to one day be involved in the production and post-production of motion pictures.
