Lance Cashwell is a native of Tampa, Fla., and is currently a Senior at the University of South Florida. At USF, he is majoring in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast News.
Cashwell completed a news reporting internship at WFTS-TV/Ch. 28/ABC Action News in the Summer of 2008. During the Fall 2008 semester, Lance served as chief editor and graphics designer for “Overexposed: Skin Cancer Revealed,” a 30-minute documentary about the dangers of skin cancer which aired on WUSF-TV in January 2009.
As a member of Florida Focus, Cashwell serves as part of the production crew, where he works as director, technical director, graphics designer, and photojournalist. After graduation in December of 2009, Lance Cashwell plans to pursue a career in the broadcasting business, working as either a photojournalist or reporter.
