Nick Dietz
Nick Dietz is a Senior at the University of South Florida, majoring in Broadcast News. He is currently performing an internship with WTVT Fox 13 where he gets the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best reporters and anchors in the country.
In 2008, Nick was inducted into the USF College of Arts and Sciences Honor Society. He is a recipient of the USF School of Mass Communications John and Jerry Wing Alexander Endowed Scholarship for superior academic performance. Nick currently serves as the treasurer of the USF chapter of the Radio and Television News Directors Association.
Nick has already completed internships with Tampa Digital Studios and WTOG CW44. Through his internships and coursework at USF, Nick has gained extensive experience both on-air and “behind the scenes.” He served as a segment producer for “The Tempo of Tampa Bay,” a 30-minute documentary on the evolution of jazz and blues music in the Tampa Bay area. That documentary aired on WUSF-TV in July of 2009.
After graduation, Nick will pursue a job as a reporter in a smaller market. He plans on working his way up to becoming a prominent anchor or the host of his own television show.
