Kristin Arnald Ruyle
Kristin Arnold Ruyle is an Instructor in the School of Mass Communications at the University of South Florida. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Television Production from Brooklyn College. Ms. Ruyle has been involved in television production for over the past 20 years. She began her career as a production assistant at WMHT-TV, a PBS affiliate in Albany NY.
After Graduate School she was hired by Time Warner New Media, New York, as an associate producer. Ruyle was involved in developing Time Inc. Publications into TV programming. Titles included Warner Books, Time Magazine, Fortune Nightly Business Report, Sports Illustrated for Kids, E!, Extra, People, LIFE and Entertainment Weekly. While at Time Warner, she associate produced and edited packages for the MacNeill/Lehrer News hour as well as produced national spot ads for Warner Books. In 1995, Ruyle began what many of her current university students call their dream job: producer for MTV Networks, New York. Her programs included The Rock N Roll Picture Show, and many VH1 Specials.
In 1999, she joined the University of South Florida in Tampa as instructor. While overseeing her University of South Florida students, their productions have won national and local awards, including The Independents' Film festival and two Telly's. Ms Ruyle is actively involved with The Junior League, Girl Scouts and Delta Phi Epsilon national sorority.
